someone in the recent past did this, just moved e few foot on her driveway, and next year would not start, she was told it be the immobiliser. please help. if it is how do you rectify this.

Put the accelerator down to the floor and then try turning the engine over. If the engine starts to cough (as though it is trying to start) after keep on turning it over until the engine fires properly and runs.
It worked for me once when I have to call out the AA.
