I enjoy another interview around my 93 Ford Bronco?

My truck is lifted with 6 inch suspension and 3 inch body lift and I'm rolling on 37in tires. My engine is the 5.8L and it has nearly 200K miles. I have no problem keeping up beside traffic on the freeways, but my acceleration lags. Off the line and already moving it doesn't jam the method I think a 5.8L should. I just have a basic tune up done: plugs, wires, distributor, oil make over, but there was no increase within power or gas mileage which is around 6 or 8 mpg. I also just had the Xfer valise rebuilt. Is the power loss and low mpg normal, cause by having such high mileage, and/ or are in attendance simple ways to get some horses back? If it make a difference, I have dual exhaust too. I'm considering an engine rebuild, but do I also own to rebuild the tranny and any other stuff? Will I get stunningly more giddy-up or does it sound like an expensive mode for minimal change? I have a friend that tell me it wont get the giddy-up I want cuz it's lifted and stuff. Any guidance would be GREAT! Thanks a ton!

Answers:    The problem is manly the tire size. These tires are about 30% larger circumfrance than the stock tires. This is like starting out within second gear would be with the stock tires. The only channel to compinsate for that is to change the axel ratio by the same amount. If you have a 3.72 axel ratio (just a guess) you will requirement to change the gears in both axels to nearly 4.84. You will need to go to an rotten road specilaty store they will be able to set you up with the corect gears and probably instal them for you. The larger tires brand name the engine work harder because they roll harder so you will probably still get poor mileage but getting the gearing right will help a touch.
