I want to replace the ECM on my Ford Focus. I've found one next to the exact ego number. Will this work?

I've heard that it have to be "flashed" by a dealer and that my ignition push button won't start the car. If it doesn't work can I simply plug my untested one back within. As I said they both have duplicate numbers and model year.

I call for to know how to...

Answers:    1st of all- yes it will work- BUT, as long as you get it reflashed to the correct calibration from your vehicle. PCMs are pretty much universal in a minute, but they all have need of different calibrations to work in specific cars. Keep contained by mind- you didnt say what year and the mileage. PCMs on adjectives vehicles are warrantied for 8 years or 80 k miles

Vauxhaull Corsa ( overheating )?

As long as the plugs and the ego number it will work
