Does anyone know how to adjust the idle on a 94 vw golf? I lately got the little bugger tuned up and at be idle speed it acts as if it desires to shut off but it doesn't. No problems next to acceleration, just when i'm sitting at a oil lamp.
Answers: you have a vacuum overrun. check the vacuum lines coming from the airbox, also the thicker cloth-covered rubber hose running along the airbox lid. Check the PCV valve piping for leak. If they check out good , afterwards your Idle Stabilizer Valve (ISV) is clogged, dirty, or not functioning. The Golf/Jetta III shouldnt have an stand still adjustment If I remember correctly.
