Ignition trouble...please assist!?

I drive an '01 Ford Ranger. It's never given me any serious trouble, and I've always be able to diagnose a problem next to it and fix it myself. This time, I'm in mode of a tight spot. I'm making a trip (700 miles) tomorrow for the holidays, but over the last few days it have had trouble starting up.

I don't believe it's the battery-operated because I bought it less than a year ago and adjectives the electronic devices (headlight, stereo, phone charger, etc.) work without any problem.

This morning I turned the switch to ignite the engine but nothing happen, not even the rattling nouns that occurs near a dead freestyle. I had to push start it to catch it going.

I think it could be the starter or the alternator, but since I'm not markedly familiar near what's under the hood, and no lights of the morsel have lit up, I'm driving blind here. I'd resembling to know if somebody is able to diagnose the problem. Thanks!

Alternator or it could be your ignition. I'd hold it checked into before you move town. Not sure if your close to a Shuck's Auto Store or not, but they do have the capacity to check both for free!

Answers:    Why don't you push start it and run it to the parts store and own them test it for you. Theres not much we can enjoy you try. Cuz you could let it sit and run and perchance charge the battery. Then you could shut it stale and see if it charged but if the battery is zapped consequently it didn't accomplish anything. Just make it glib and take it to the store and own them test it and next you right there to buy the parts.
