You can win some stuff from Halfords called 'stop smoke'. This swells the rubber and stops grease running down the valve stems into the combustion chamber. (If you do get some, heat the bottle up in hot sea before you pour it into the engine. It's as gelatinous as treacle cold.)
It's not a permanent cure though, the just way you'll fix it for honourable is to have the come first off and replace the seal.
