Is it the alternator? How much will this cost? Help!?

First of all, I know nil about cars.

I own a 1995 Toyota Corolla. Thats really all I know going on for it. Its a pretty basic motor. Nothing really special about the engine or anything.

Earlier tonight, my sports car wouldn't start. A friend jumped it, and as it be running, I was cleaning it out. It be running low on gas so we were going to run to the gas station to bring some. As soon as I turned my headlights on, the car died. We merely re-jumped it and I started cleaning again, but as my cd player and overhead light started flickering (the cd player would turn sour and on and restart songs).

Its a new mobile, I replaced it in June. Could this be the alternator, and how much would that cost?? PLEASE HELP ME!!

Answers:    I doubt it.I deem you have a impossible battery nouns. Have someone remove the terminals and do a proper cleaning and re-fastening.

if you can, lift the battery and alternator to auto zone and they will see if thats one of the problems, they will do a touch test and, or you can whip it to a mechanic.
