I read somewhere on YesImAuto.com about a test to see if your motor is slipping the clutch?
Your suppose to:
Park
Engage E brake
Put the car in 3 gear
Let sour the clutch
If the car shuts off, your fine. If it stalls your clutch is slipping.
Is that right?
I tried today and my vehicle does "STALL".
What should I make of this?
if it stays on even after you engage the ebrake then the clutch is slipping if it turns bad your car is good

If it is slipping the engine will rev up while pulling in any gear but not speed up beside the rev you hear
It will probly do this in a higher gear due to power-driven leverage in the transmission
My uncles ranger would rev up if you floored it contained by 5th, the clutch was slipping

Answers: You should make of this that you misunderstood the exam. Believe me, if your clutch was slipping, you'd know it without have to do some test to see. The engine would speed up with the clutch completely out, it would slip if you started up a hillock or put a load on it, and you would smell the clutch plate burning.
