Is My Front Lower Control Arm Bent?

I had my coup¨¦ towed a couple weeks ago when my engine blew and I remember the tow truck driver using the metal hooks on his tow truck to pull my sports car up. He hooked it up behind the reins somewhere and I'm assuming it must be the control arms...

The problems im having right very soon is that my car pulls to the right when I brake and also does a rapid "twitch" when I brake.

When I am stopped and let dance of the brake, the wheels twitch also. This can be feel in the steering gearstick and be seen on the outside via the reins moving. The wheel "twitches" to the right and after goes backbone straight. This is only momentarily and happen the very moment I permit go of the brakes AND when I initially apply the brakes while driving.

My cross-question is: Is it a bent front control arm or maybe a bubble joint problem?

Any view on how many labor hours would be involved?

What are usually the symptoms of a bent front control arm or globe joint problem?

The vehicle is a 2002 BMW M3 Convertible...

Why won't my coup¨¦ turn on?

It could be that, or a control arm bushing get wiped out, but it DEFINITELY sounds resembling he hooked you up improperly. Take it backbone to BMW service and let them know that you suspect that the tow truck that brought you within for the engine work damaged your front wrap up. Let BMW give your ride a once over and distribute the towing company the bill.

Why does my Overdrive indicator muted, flash fast...

If he used a flatbed or sling, that would hold caused make worse.

the safest way to tow a sports car is with the Wheellift and dollies!

If you asked for a flatbed a moment ago because its a BMW then you asked for it.

I own a K&N cold nouns intake...

Answers:    While I doubt Mr. Towboy is going to admit it, he probably give a good tug to the lower control arms and seperated them from the bushing at the frame. These bushings own a hard satisfactory time staying put without Toby Towboy ripping them out. Labor hours? If you travel to BMW you are gonna get ripped past its sell-by date. Their policy is to go by warranty labor times, and multiply that by 1.5, which puts them nearly 2.5 times any labor in a national labor guide. Legal but sneaky, they do zilch more than mark up their own labor really. You already described the symptoms of the bent or broken control arm or orb joint. Now to seize Toby to admit he did it, and you are surrounded by business. Same thing happen to my rear trailing arms on a 2001 Impala when the flat bed come and got it.
