So, I start up my car and the console say check rear disappeared tire pressure. I get out of the motor to find a housekey stuck in the side wall of my tire! So, I dance to the tire repair shop and they patched it up although they stated they couldn't guarantee how long it would hold up as it is in the side wall of the tire and not the tread. I entail to buy a new tire primarily.
HERE IS MY QUESTION. I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW IN 2007 AND THE TIRES SHOULD HAVE SOME SORT OF WARRANTY RIGHT? Answers: i use to work at NTB and the tire shop of this nature (corp. buss.) honor warranty on tires and what they will do is go by tread depth which will allow them to work out how much the new tire will cost you. so read out the brand new tire have 10mm of tread depth and your car have 9mm left so you own 90% of the tire left so you would catch about 80%-90% past its sell-by date the price of the new tire.
The warranty is one and only for tread wear. However, most tire companies will warranty out a non repairable tire on a pro-rated basis.
