I just bought a 2004 Lexus IS 300 and am not sure what type of gasoline I can use. Can I just use regular??
You can use just regular. The book, if in attendance is one with the car still, probably will suggest a difficult octane fuel. The little numbers at the fuel pump. Your car has a sensor that will adjust the engine dependant on the fuel you use. Its call a knock sensor. Other people will argue up and down that its not a good impression but it really does not harm the car.
It say to use only 91 fuel however you can buy an additive at autozone or pep boys that will allow you to use 87. I estimate its in the smog additive deptr.
The booklet will tell you what the car it tuned for. The best fuel for your motor must display the seal of quality approving adjectives chemical components within the standard, but to increase the life of your sports car gasoline in good merits and near the stamp of quality assurance, not advance if you put petrol premuim it does not respect the power standards.
PETROL GOOD, GOOD CAR EVER.

what does your owner's almanac recommend? You can use regular, but if your car has 6-8 cylinders, consequently mid-grade or premium might be recommended to keep your car running at its crag capacity.
Answers: The sports car manual will say, but if i'm not mistaken i believe the is 300 requires premium. And use premium, using regular will result surrounded by less performance due to the knock sensor possibly going sour and then retarding timing. And this means smaller quantity gas mileage, so just use premium if it takes premium
