Van starts, then when put within reverse it konks out! Drove the van home from philly airport. Got home, and it went into reverse fine.... W.T.F! Tried again when cold no luck. Just come from outside trying a new battery( someone said I might not enjoy enough amps for reverse. Now I can't carry anything. Could there be a problem beside the shifter/placement? Neutral safety switch? Turn the knob - no indicator lights, no door open buzz. Help, I'm prepared to junk the item!
Answers: Check the tranny fluid first. You need to construct sure the (electrical)connections are tight. I doubt the "no reverse" has anything to do near electrical! BTW, if you need to make the addition of tranny fluid, use only fluid STRAIGHT FROM THE DEALER. I ponder your tranny may already be shot though.
