im gonna mount twin turbos on my 350 iv heard some people speech about lowering the compression but i dont have any impression do i have to lower the compression, is it goin to do anything for me: more/less power, better/worse fuel milage can so,one explain what it does
the engine im goin to sup up to take the power however i get the turbos free and plan on usin them if only runin about 14psi most of the time will the lower compresion eliminate my fuel milage and will the car still run fine without the turbos after the lowered compression what would b the resul
14psi is alot of boost, thats like running 180%, without adjust the compression you will blow the bottom end of the engine out. There are a few way to do that, thicker director gasket, new pistons/rods, but regardless you need to do something or you will be replacing the engine. Low compression will gun down torque, if you wana run 14psi boost, once you take the turbo's off your torque will stir down the drain.
Answers: Lowering your compression would minister to prevent pre-ignition and detonation. There are a few different ways to do it and to different degrees. Thicker head gaskets (bad next to turbos), ring gap, or different shaped pistons. 14 lbs is a formidable amount of boost for an engine not specifically built for boost. Forged rods, hypereutectic/forged pistons, throttle body, intake gaskets, injectors, ignition systems, and cooling and oiling systems for the turbos adjectives need to be considered on boost projects. My last piece of proposal would be, don't trust free turbos.

Lowering compression for turbo or super charged engines is a must! the cheapest way is to find large combustion chamber head .Cv collective problem ? Wheel carriage conceivably?...
