when ur downshifting on a manual, can u skip gears? let say ur at 5th gear,and u hold to like drift or somethin so u gotta turn down a few gears, can u go straight to resembling 3? or do u have to do 4 first?
You can step into any gear you want to but you run the risk of over revving your motor.
P.S. person above is a moron. I do this adjectives the time in my eclipse to slow down quicker when I'm going through corners. Most of the time 5 to 3 but sometimes 5 to 2 but I don't permit the clutch out all the method.

to 1. The sequence rear legs up as in Upshift.

Answers: Yes you can skip gears merely make sure you slow down to the right speed for that gear. What I usually do is I will put it contained by neutral and in recent times use my brake and when I get to the speed I want I'll put it surrounded by the right gear.
