My head gasket go out on my 01' Pontiac Aztek would it be cheaper for me to replace the gasket or replace the engine? What would you do in the situation? And Why?
Answers: Ok, Head Gasket. a few hundred for the Gasket, 2,000 to 4,000 for the engine?
powerfully if it were me i'd replace the principal gasket myself because it's cheaper but in ur bag you'll probally not mechanically inclined so i would find somebody who would do it for you replacing the motor is rather spendy but if you have the money replacing the motor will make a contribution you a brand new vehicle feeling. but if you don't own a lot of miles on the motor i'd merely replace the gasket but i would also check the water pump, thermostat, and radiator, because overheating the engine is the major cause of blowing cranium gaskets.
