Any micra dealers or capitalist people out near, might be able to hep me beside this... I have a chisel on my car and bought some touch up paint within Halfords. The man looked at my car and sold me the pen for colour flame red, AJ4. Later, I found the place within the car where on earth it states the colour, which is Z10. Is this the same as solid flame red, AJ4 or are they 2 different colours? The coup¨¦ is a micra 2005, in solid red, trim type S.
Thanks
Answers: Hi Puddy. Every motor has a paint given name and code but it is the code that matters because equal colour may have different name in different countries. So AJ4 red is not indistinguishable as Z10 RED . However you must ensure that Z10 is the proper identification code for the colour of your sports car and generally the colour is given on the VIN plate . Take your saloon to Halfords and ask them to look at your car and identify the code. If this is not AJ4 later you can return this paint to them and get it replaced by the correct colour. Good luck !
i would suggest that you exam the paint on an inconspicuous area of the motor first, under the wing maybe or inside the boot where nobody would see it, consent to a drop or 2 dry and if you cant find where the drops are after a few hours next its close enough i'd right to be heard :)
Thanks
