Asked something similar last year about an issue beside it..now the car will start OK.after shut off right away.I try it several times ...starting and shutting off respectively time.eventually it starts and runs fine and will start fine at times.then it goes put a bet on to starting and shutting off..this only happen when it has been parked...never turns bad when it finally starts and is moving!!...help!!
sounds like its not getting ample gas to keep it going. try changing the gas filter and try that.
Answers: i'd say fuel pump.or something ignition. possibly temp. sensor as that is what tells the ecm what to do ,cold start (more fuel) see down idle(less fuel) after its warmed up.

Could be greatly of things, check your battery terminals take home sure they are not loose, have had like peas in a pod issue on an 1996 olds, the engine vibrates just satisfactory to cause a lose connection once started. The saloon will die on this model with the barrety disconnected.just a thought, something u might tryHow can i stop intense brake squeal...
