I have a 2005 crown vic (ex police car) and when i hit the horn it wont stop (shut off) unless i pull the relay out. I took it to a shop and thy said the steering wad is good and no shorts in the clock spring or anything. They are still looking but they have had my motor two days.
any one else seen this problem?

If your horn contact is on your clockspring, you're gonna have to replace it. If you hit the horn too hard, it will rationale it to continuously blair and replacement is the only way. Happened to me!
Look on ebay for a used one if the shop is too steep. I in actual fact installed mine myself and got it used off ebay. Got my horn put a bet on!

Answers: most likely I'd articulate it's shorting out somewhere in the steering wheel, or the horn is malfunctioning... Hope that helped-good luck

yes have them hook up a external horn button, if it works fine later you have a problem in the steering column. the releasing plate spring have cracked or you have a short in the steering colomn. my guess is it is within the steering wheel inself.Help! Son spilled hot chocolate surrounded by...
