OK, im really not a dumb girl but this car entry is really stumping me. My care squeaks, resembling the belt needs lube. My coolant night light is on, my car isnt over heat, but when i sit with the sports car running for a little while, it starts to smoke for a while, (sweet smell) like theres a short time leak somewhere. i cant amount out where its coming from. i newly got this current engine in my saloon (Ford 1995 escort) earlier this year but im so confused. i dont want to evacuate it unlooked at, but its so expensive to take it to the shop. HELP! what could it be?
Answers: If you are still covered by the engine warranty enjoy the shop that performed the work concordat with it. If the warranty is expired ,help yourself to it to a reputable shop. They should give you a free estimate. It sounds approaching you have a coolant trickle (sweet smell). I would do it soon so you don't damage the engine by overheating it. You should also check the coolant rank. It is probably low (coolant light on). Do not , as suggested by the previous poster, attach any of the canned addatives similar to aluma seal or the close to. They are a waste of money and can clog your cooling system cause more damage. If it wants to be repaired, do it right, not whatever is cheapest.
