i parked it this morning and there was no extra clamour. but when i started it in evening it was making lot of uproar as if it does not have any exhaust. it also could not pick up accelration and i drove it at a speed of 35 miles at the most. then the engine wishy-washy came on. what is the problem?
Sounds like a overrun in the exaust possibly near the catalytic converter or muffler its self, do you hear any rattle noises? With the check engine could be a problem with the O2 sensor. If you took it to a shop they could bring a look at it underneath and hook up a scan tool which will give them the stored code for the reason the trouble reading light turned on.
Answers: it sounds like a cracked exhaust various did you try seeing where the noise be coming from but if it was good when you parked it the compound could have cooled to quickly and cracked the o2 sensor is on the exhaust various this could explain the noise and loss of power
