Need nouns rebuild! What should i do ?

Mr. Transmission says my 2002 f350 that i bought 2 months ago requirements the transmission rebuild, it slips and has a grinding crack. They quoted me $1388 plus tax, plus thorny parts, plus fluid which im guessing total is going to be around $2000 :0 So what options do i hold? other than spending the money on a go back to the beginning ?

1979 Dodge tranny problem, no reverse.?

Answers:    Two other options are to bring back one used from a salvage yard or cram to rebuild it yourself.

What to do when both the freestyle...

Danger Will Robinson Danger! You are getting ripped sour. I just have the transmission within my 1999 F-350/Powerstroke rebuilt ultimate year. The shop charged $1,500.00 for total job parts labor and 24 month/24,000 mile warranty. Get a second, third or even fourth quote. Was the truck foreign when you bought it? If so, go wager on to dealer. How heaps miles are on it now? Under 60,000, run back to vendor. Is it out of warranty? If not, go hindmost to dealer. Want to return with hosed? Go to Mr. Transmission.

Second option would be to carry a transmission from a salvage truck. 50/50 chance it will be worth the money.

Good Luck
