I have a 77 full sized Chevy blazer. It sometimes does not start. I jiggle the gear shifter and turn the steering joystick some and move the wheel elevator up and down and consequently it starts. Is this the sign of a bad Neutral sanctuary switch?
Answers: Could be... or a loose connection contained by the column. Try starting it in independent instead of park; if it works flawlessly that way suspect the N/S switch.
It may also be a mispositioned or loose switch. I have a car that would start on the edging between Park and Reverse, or sometimes in any one. I reset the switch and no more problems.
