Hey everyone
I have a moment ago completed spray painting some repaired section of my car and it appears that due to the age of my saloon (2001) or a bad mixture at the auto shop, the latest paint doesn't match that very well. It's not that noticable from say 3 metres but it is when up close.
Would anybody know steps I could steal to sort of blend the colours together more?
Perhaps a light sand around the edges of the unusual paint or a polish? Or perhaps the unknown paint will fade as I have my sports car parked in the sun alot?
Any serve appreciated :D
Thanks
Answers: you will never match your paint out of a spray can, especially a metallic paint, you have need of to go to PPG and hold your paint computer matched to color as your paint has fadded even if it's singular 6 months old and it requests to be painted with a regular paint gun beside the right pressure.
You will need to scuff the panel next to the ones you lately painted with any a gray scuff pad or some 800 grit sandpaper (both available at any bosy supply store) and the in recent times spray color on the edjes of the panel to about midway of the panelsand later re clear them. This will make the colors blend together and breed the difference MUCH MUCH less evident
