Oil dripping from Car - Dangerous?

I noticed today a touch bit of oil leak from my car (Nissan Pulsar Sedan, 1989). Its the first time I've ever notice this. My question though is not how to fix it (i'll basically go to the mechanic) but what I want to know is this.

Is it risky or unwise to drive a sports car that is dripping grease? Why/Why not? what could happen?

Thanks heaps!

What variety of tires would you recommend?

Answers:    Depends on how prompt its dripping. If its a slow drip, I'd just preserve an eye on the oil height. If it falls to low, add a quart of grease to your engine. If its a fast drip, you entail to take it to the mechanic as soon as possible.
Yes, it is unsafe to drive a car if you are losing grease at a rapid step. You lose that oil and your vehicle can overheat. When it does that the engine may crack and now you enjoy a bigger problem.
Get it fixed as soon as you can. In the meantime, always keep hold of a quart of oil handy contained by your car. You never know when you might want it.

How much money on average do you...

it means your losing grease which, if it gets too low, can eliminate a car awfully quickly!
