Over heat issues?

i have a 1997 chevy lumina 3.1 engine and the engine over heats, the low coolant lighting goes on and off i enjoy had the thermostat replaced, and there is no steam in the car
what could be the problem?

I suspect when the thermostat was replaced, some nouns was left within the cooling system. Try bleeding the air out and then top stale the cooling system when done. This job can be quite messy as coolant will be forced out of radiator along beside air trapped inside.I suggest having a professional do this for you.

First thing I do when have over heatin issues is replace the radiator cap. It costs 3 dollars and has fixed the problem a couple of times. Even if it seem like it is still good. If that doesn't do it next check for air bubbles in the system. If you're not getting warmth though it may be a blockage somewhere cuz to me that means it's not circulating properly.

You have a soak in the coolant system most likely...enjoy a tech pressurize it and look for the leak and then fix it. It could be anywhere and thorny to find without putting pressure on it. Good luck!

Answers: Heater core is clogged or have an air blockage. First have the system purged of nouns, then if the heater core does not work next have it replaced. Depending on how bad it over heated you may enjoy blown the head gasket or cracked either the chief or block.

sounds like a stop up. and was the grill work ing before if so they didnt do it right and no heat would be matching reason its not wroking dont matter if it is investigational dont mean it works. best to start over by checking the flow of water to see if it is moving adjectives the time is just as bad if its not moving at adjectives
