Painting a classic coup¨¦?

i've got a cross-examine, im restoring a 1970 dodge charger and i was reading on the network that you cant keep the coup¨¦ primered for very long because its not a pious rust preventive, now, for a classic saloon like that, you'd evidently want a top of the line paint mission, but since i have no garage, [it stays within the driveway with a sports car cover and tarp] what should i do to prevent it from rusting out again? should i just run it to approaching, earl scheib and at least hold some sort of clear coat and paint there until i can amass up the 3 grand or however much its gonna cost to get hold of it top of the line painted? i hope you guys know what im saying

Answers:    1. Make sure adjectives dents are out. Use body filler and putty as needed. Make sure everything is sanded down even.

2. Prime the vehicle using primer surfacer. This evens out adjectives everything that the body fillter couldn't.

3. Apply a guide coat and water sand the vehicle using P400 grit sandpaper. Scuff the vehicle.

4. Prime the vehicle again using primer sealer. Primer sealer protects againts corrosion and rust.

5. Apply your foundation coat.

6. Apply your clear coat.
