The cat. converter be pluged and it needed a new muffler so i but clean ones on, it wont pass emission, the mecaic says it requirements a new egr spigot, will this help me endorse it? its cloged asewell i think.
Answers: The EGR Valve may be plugged or a moment ago not working. They hold to do a function test of this spigot.
It's purpose is NOT to re-burn the exhaust. It will not burn. It is a NOX device that meters in exhaust gas to lower the combustion temperatures. It will also stop pre-ignition "pinging" when working right.
If this spigot fail, you fall short the test. I hope they told you ALL that you have need of.
if your car have a check engine or maintenance required frothy on it will never pass,and if it is a thing of high emission coming out of the exhaust,their are remedies for that!good luck!
