when i go down into a low gear or round a sharp gone hand bend i take a sudden whiff of petrol, one garage said manager gasket needs replacing another said no problems, at hand are no other symptoms apart from the whiff of petrol evry immediately and then. Any thinking pls??
Answers: Check fuel lines with engine running,verbs airfilter,check crank case breather,(though not likely)check exhaust union and manifold gaskets for leak.check round fuel pump gasket.check exhaust joints underneath car.Make sure fuel cistern breather is ok. Good luck.PS, don,t smoke.
