i have a stick shift and a short time ago the other day while going up a mount, something vile and horrible started smelling,i beleive its the clutch but i may be wrong!! the smell decreased everytime i drove the motor after that...but it still smell a bit when i open the hood and sniff around the engine. Could this still be the clutch and if so,when a clutch burns similar to that, does it need to be replaced or is the smell present for solitary a few days?pls help
Answers: Chances are you slipped the clutch. The smell will stay around for a while. For starters check the clutch resorvoir if that does not work and the smell persist you may have a clutch problem. turn to a shop and let them testing drive the vehicle
