Question going on for my clutch?

I have a '99 Jeep Cherokee beside a 2.5L and a manual trans. Lately I've notice that it isn't shifting as well as it used to. Sometimes it is tricky to get into 1st and reverse but it drives fine. Also, when I'm driving, I can usually verbs it out of 3rd or 4th gear without using the clutch (don't catch me wrong, I don't drive like this). The coup¨¦ has 100,000 miles on it. The point I am asking is because I will be going to college next year, and I be planning on keeping this car for a few more years, since I own no problems with it. But if the clutch is going to travel soon I would rather market it soon.....

Figuring out the Tire Size?

Answers:    Your jeep uses a hydraulic slave cylinder to actuate your clutch actions. If you initiate your hood look on the firewall on the drivers side for a small container with a clear-ish (may be darkened now) fluid in it. it should be labled clutch fluid. If you cant find it look contained by the owners manual. If it is low it finances the slave is leaking externaly. even if it is full it doesnt rule it out though,it may be leak internaly. when you press on the chutch the slave wont move the clutch release fork enough the smoothly shift the tranny...esp. reverse right? the sector and the repair are not that involved or expensive. in reality ive heard that this is a adjectives problem on xj's

as for being competent to pull it out of gear...not a problem as long as it doesnt do it by itself... within fact experianced standard drivers can smoothly shift through adjectives the gears with out ever using the clutch by equivalent the rpm with road speed.(dont try it though...you can break stuff).

to a user above me....
as for the trans slipping...wwwhat?. if it slipped it would grind...im resonably sure that it is impossible for the trans to slip.

Can anybody report to me how to...

it any sounds like the clutch is going out or the transmition is slipping. But heres a bit of support... Think before you but another saloon. I had a jeep Wrangler and i blew the guide gasket and needed a new radiator so i sold it and bought a different car and COMPLETELY regret it because i enjoy a car costs and its hard to hold a car costs and go to academy you know? so i would just fix it if its more financially appropriate.
