I have put on a replacement carburetor floor plate for my holley carb. I don't think the plates be exactly the same because the replacement be off of a carb to be exact twelve years older than mine (same model and cfm). My truck immediately runs a little unusual (i.e. sputters when i am braking, and makes my nouns shift gears quite thorny, and when it shifts it takes a long time to shift from 1st to 2nd, longer than it should anyway.). Just wondering if this is ok to run until i can attain the proper plate, or will it cause smash up to the main body of the carb?
Answers: If the stand plate was twelve years elder chances are the plate could be perverted a bit and not sitting level, so it might be sucking some nouns, causing some problems.unsafe your carb,s body might not happen it will run impossible until you change it produce sure to put a new gasket when you replace the plate.
obligation to adjust the air fuel screw with a vaccum guage attached to the intake, prob rotten just a bit here and here but is easily googled
