Replacement engines from Japan?

I have a 1990 Toyota Camry LE, V-6, near a blown head gasket or cracked block. I be thinking of getting one of those replacement engines from Japan. Might be cheaper just to earnings for an engine swap than pay to hold a mechanic tear the bleak motor down. Anyone know where these low mileage motors are available, or have any experience with them?

How intricate is it and how long...

Answers:    This is a appropriate way of gettng a accurate cheap engine with low milage. Even beneath California emission law, California seems close to some hick ville when it comes to emissions compaired to Japan. Japan is thoroughly strict. If an engine gets to a certing milage the engine is deem "not fit" anymore and needs to be any torn down and completly rebuilt, or replaced. They scarcely last 2-3 years here becasue emission law are so strict. I've delt with companies at work who operate with them, and I've never have a problem. Its not that the engines are bad that thier self replaced, its that thier out of date (an engine thats a year mature is classed as out of date contained by some cases). I've delt with a company name "Japenese Auto Ltd." out of Vancouver (I belive) and I can usually get the engine to Calgary contained by about a sunshine or two with no problems.
