Trying to replace the spark plugs on my 2004 Ford Explorer, but I'm having difficulty removing the the boot over the spark plug. I tried using some force, didn't want to ruin the cable or the boot. Do I need another tool to remove the boot or should I try somewhat more force.
Answers: The above answers are good insist on. When you do get them past its sell-by date, go to your local auto supply and attain some di-electric grease. Put a little on respectively plug wire when you reinstall them. Next time you stipulation to remove the wires, they'll come off "slicker than snot". Also a touch anti-seize compound on the spark plug threads will help next to future spark plug removal.
