My question is, does this hurricane lantern suppose to come on after every so many miles as a short time ago a reminder or is it telling me that something is wrong near my car? I in recent times had my coup¨¦ fixed last week and it is running fine, but this frothy comes on at least once a month.

It might be an intermittently occurring problem near a sensor, and the On Board Computer is reading it thus sending out the Service light...
You should request a OBDI 1995 and nderor OBDII 1996 and newer exam on your car... at a trusted mechanic's shop...or you can enjoy this tested at your local auto parts store...

Answers: I'd have need of to know what sort of car this is. It sounds close to it is a simple warning that it is time for uncomplicated service, perhaps it be not reset the last time you have service done. Perhaps whoever did the service did not know how to reset the service clock.
