2004 Oldsmobile Alero. The side trim on the outside of the windshield on the driver side has come loose and immediately bounces on the windshield while driving. Is this something that I just necessitate to buy some glue and gum it back surrounded by or something different. Thanks in finance for any advice you guys could dispense.
Answers: If this is the rubber trim, then you involve to go to a chalice shop and have it replaced. This is the gasket that holds the chalice in place. If a part of the pack of it is flapping then at most minuscule you are prone to leaks, and at worst it will win worse and your windshield could fall out.
I'm not aware with the Olds' but self a 2004 model I'm 99% sure your windshield will be 'bonded' in to your saloon.
The side trim is purely there as cosmetic item. surrounded by theory you could steal the trim off completely and zilch would happen excluding more 'wind' noise.
If you can bring back access to some Eurethane bond apply a small
bead in the outlet under the trim and stick it final down.Tape it down for a couple of hours and you should be good to travel!
Note; Do not use silicon adhesive it can attack your paint/trim.
Save the silicon for seal bath tubs!
