My roommate's car, a 97 Ford Escort have smoke coming out of her CD player and the lights on her dashboard be flickering when she turned on her lights tonight. It smelled like something be burning. What could the problem be? Is this something that she can fix on her own or should she take it to a mechanic? If she can fix it, how should she fix it?
Thanks!!
Answers: Open the hood and disconnect the freestyle immediately. Have the saloon towed to a shop. You have an electrical short- that IS fire you're smelling, and it could burn the total car up beside you in it if you try to slight it.........
Sorry for the bad communication, but don't take any likelihood with this.
If it simply happens when she turns the lights on, it could be a fruitless switch for the lights. If so, I think Ford have a recall for this problem a few years put money on.
uhh no she has a short surrounded by the electrical components.
Thanks!!
