I started my car yesterday, i was conducting tests something at the engine and i started the car 3 times, continueslty (my friends said i should of left the saloon 1 minute before next start..). Anyways coup¨¦ started ok , 4th time the car almost started but it failed and after i see silver/white smoke comming out for a period of a couple of seconds it be thick but still see though it type of thing. Smoke come from my side (right side) i opend the bonet and smoke was coming from the back of the engine or so i could pin point. i not here the car alone for a bit, started it and drove off fine next to it. should i be worried?

Answers: It seems that your starter motor has overheated. You call for to locate where it is and inspect its insulation. If the insulation is charred then buy matching type of cable from a used parts store or new and change it. Don't use a spare cable and also let the starter cool between starts.
If the smoke is from inside starter motor then it is not effortless for you to change the motor. You will need jack stands and more tools.
BTW starter should be unavailable for a Max of 10-15 seconds. Use choke in cold weather and After 4 ruined starts give 1 min break.
