Squeaky breaks?

I'm just wondering why my breaks are squeaking?? I get new break pad back surrounded by 2003, would this mean I'm going to want a whole topical set of breaks? It's a 2000, so it's going on 8 yrs old. Do you know what that would cost?

Answers:    When brakes squeak, it's usually a sign that the pad are worn down to the point where you involve to replace them. In some cases, however, your brakes will squeak when you need to enjoy the calipers rebuilt or replaced (which may be the luggage in a 2000 model-year car). Best bet is to run your car to a brake shop and own them give you an estimate. If it's only just the pads, most brake shops enjoy a special where they start at $89.99 per axle, so you'd be looking at roughly speaking $200.00. If they need to replace rotors and/or drums it'll be more similar to $400.00, depending on the make and model of your saloon. Calipers are expensive -- be prepared to pay at smallest $600.00 if your calipers need work.

It's possible that you only need brake pad again. They DO wear down...and it has be 4 years or so since you've had unknown ones...and they tend to squeak when they wear down.
