I replaced the serpintine belt and tensioner pulley last year but this week I drove through a roomy puddle of water and adjectives of a sudden the squeling started. It is really loud and doesn't stop. Please help!
Answers: check the serpintine belt and craft sure its not glazed or cracking if so replace it
if not remove the belt and turn the pullys by appendage such as your alternator P/S pump smog pump etc.
some will not turn by your hand close to the main pully at the bottom of the engine
but if everything looks obedient and the belt does too then receive some belt dressing from your local auto parts store and spray it on the belt as the engine is running
don't use WD40
good luck
replace them again. check your pullies surrounded by there too...unquestionably water cause rust... rust equates to the squeeling...
