Stand alone fuel injection.?

Anybody have any experiences, in taking the ecu pinout, the ecu, and running an engine completely standalone, making your own harness using lone clips from the original, not just going through and pulling it? Also where on earth can I find any ecu pinout for any car, not just mustangs, in actuality for a 93 metro xfi.

Also which system did you do it on mass air flow, speed density, multiport (batch, or sequential) or tbi.

How was your experience did it work, be it difficult with the two relays fuel pump and cooling fan (If appliciable), and fueses?

Any net sites that have any engine swaps with such thinking?

Thanks in advanced

Answers:    If you like electrical system, it's simple. The number of web sites that cover this are really too numerous to list. It have been very adjectives for years to do this with 5.0L Mustang engines and Chevy TPI engines from the 80's. That's two subjects where you'll find plenty of reference, and custom made wiring harnesses to boot.

You can find a electrics diagram for your metro by getting the factory shop manual. Some times the wiring diagrams are contained by a separate book.
