Starter Spins/ No Crank - Chevy Cavalier 99?

Hello,

I wanted your opinion in the past I go changing out the starter. At first the problem be intermittent, but now the enginer won't start. I would turn the key to START and the solenoid clicks, turns the flywheel possibly quarter of rotation , solenoid clicks again, and the starter motor keeps spinning, but does not crank the motor. After a couple tries, the solenoid seems not to even engross the bendix to the flywheel, and the starter just spins. What could be causing the solenoid to turn stale prematurely? I did try to jump the car, near the same results as well as drumbeat the solenoid. Is there something else that could be happening here?
