I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado specifically making a strange noise. It is an automatic trans. As I'm driving, right since the truck switches gears I can hear this noise. It really isn't a whistle, more similar to a pssst, almost like a shot of nouns. The transmission isn't slipping and if truth be told shifts quite smooth. It seem more prevelent when the air conditioner is on if that make any sense. I haven't had it looked at however and the transmission fluid is topped stale. I am just concerned that it may a precurser to something worse. Please agree to me know what you think.
