Supercharger on a B16A interrogate.?

On the engine where does the supercharger bolt on at? Does it replace the Intake several. If so is there still a throttle body?
The principle I'm asking this is because I have a 2000 Si and I'm thinking roughly going all motor for a while, and possibly eventually getting a supercharger. I thought about the turbo but that get rid of my cold air intake and my header.

any time you start to force nouns into your engine, you need to lower the compression - not a short time ago with a turbocharger, anyone who tell you differently has never worked around any forced induction systems.

There are several types of superchargers out within, you can get a "roots" blower, a "Twin screw" blower, or a "centrifugal" blower. A roots, or twin screw blower could* be mounted within place of the intake manifold, but would be unlikely contained by the case of your engine - fairly it would bolt probably above your header, and be plumed into the system, moving the throttle body to just past the blower. A centrifugal blower would be plumed in somewhat one and the same way, although the throttle body can be located after the charger surrounded by this type of application - either agency, supercharging that engine wouldn't be much fun - it'd take lots of custom work, and the power gain wouldn't be worth it, since it will filch anywhere from 20 - 60hp to run just the supercharger, so your network gain would be less than if you enjoy a turbocharger.

Intercooler, intercooler, intercooler. Can't say it adequate times - forcing air into the motor will require you to hold one.

I'd still recommend a turbocharger - sell past its sell-by date your exhaust header and get a turbocharger setup, the power you gain will be worth much more than the header, and near any forced induction system, I'm sure you'll have to remove the cold nouns intake.

And again, do NOT use high compression pistons on any type of forced-induction application.

Another Weird Noise?


supercharger go in the place of the intake numerous. There is still a throttle body because otherwise the engine would not be able to control the amount of nouns coming into it and you would blow your motor pretty quickly. near supercharger you would prob have to carry high compression pistons. Or you could dance with a procharger which is close to a supercharger turbo its a turbo that runs off the belt. beside turbo you still have your intake numerous but you get low compression pistons you still can maintain your cold air intake or personal ad an intercooler also but you would have to put turbo header and run grease lines.

Answers:    Don't achieve the supercharger. For the money you spend $3,600+ for the Jackson Racing model, you can get a Turbonetics, Greddy, or Edelbrock turbo paraphernalia. Not only will it get something done better, but it will get better gas mileage too. To compare the 2 (J.R. supercharger, and the turbo kits) the J.R. supercharger will present you approx. 190-200 HP at the wheels, while the turbo kit will give you 230-250 HP at the wheel, both kits ( the supercharger and turbo) are set at 7-8 PSI for the stock internals so zilch makes a pretty parts explosion within your driveway. The cold air and header single gives you 4-7 HP anyway and you will more than build up that with the turbo setup. I enjoy personally installed over 50 turbo and supercharger setups, and for the Honda models the Turbo is the process to go. Now the singular supercharger kit specifically comparable is the Vortec centrifugal kit, but it costs roughly speaking $5,000 with the aftercooler. You hold to decide what you really want to do near your motor because if you are eventually going turbo start buying low compression pistons and forged internals instead of spending money for high compression pistons and weird duration cams that will have to be changed when using forced induction.
