i got a lift silverado with 35" tires, 2wd, IFS, its get 144,000 miles, no problems what so ever with the trucks engine. The owner i bought it from at 142,0000 miles said he other did synthetic and recomended i do the same, im not examination if he did or not cuz he works for a place that specializes in Supreme engine grease. Im wondering if I shoud use Royal purple synthetic oil for my truck, in poor health do it myself, but is that a good grease for my truck. It has have no engine upgrades. Oh yea, also, i think i should grasp a new nouns filter, mine is stock, and when i give it some gas from a stand still speed i can here this strong sucking noise similar to the engine is suffocating. or am i just parinoid. THNKS!
Royal Purple is Boutique oil at best. You'll gain no Horsepower, but you'll enjoy pretty Purple bottles to show for it. Most of the synthetics you buy off the counter are Blends, if you want a physical Synthetic, go near Amsoil. They make the best filter also, and they stand behind their 100% synthetic up to one year or 25,000 miles. It's adjectives I've used for the last ten years, and love my results. I'm not going to convey you it always (though SOMETIMES) increases HP or Mileage, but I love individual having to conveyance my oil once a year.

As for the Air filter, the solitary way you'll benefit from a K+N is if you budge off-roading or drive in a desert- A stock nouns filter under ordinary driving will last you 25,000 miles. You can shot it out, or hit it with compressed nouns every 12,000 miles or so, but people replace them adjectives too often. Amsoil sell air filter as ably.
The air cleaner disturbance is normal, try a K&N type nouns filter and or air intake to promote performance and mpg slightly.
Your brand of Synthetic grease is perty much the same as other brands.
Just follow the vehicle service booklet.
I use Wal-Mart Synthetic oil and transfer it every 10K miles and a K&N air filter on my trial cars, I have have no problems.
Answers: Cool, what year is it? i each day drive a 1988 Silverado Long Bed, Reg Cab, with the small 305 V8, but i bought it from the Original owner... and have run so good!...anyway
I enjoy used Valvoline Syn Blend every time with reg Oil filter and Air filter evey 3000 miles...As for the Royal Purple you mention, i've hear it's a pretty good Motor Oil, but i own never tried it... i'd say progress ahead and use it...
As for the sound of Air intake, that would be NORMAL, however you might want to conjecture about replacing the stock Intake witha ceremonial cold air... they impart it a lil more punch from stops, and a lil better MPG...
Best Wishes!
Can anyone lend a hand beside how...
