I have a 99 saturn sc2 and i just get my trans fixed and now a week later i get this problem and i took it into auto zone and the code came up as P0742 Torque converter circuit stuck on
so what is it?! and can i fix it myself or check it myself?
and if not thn how much would it be to fix?
Have the person who fixed the nouns take a look. If it's not a wiring problem it will be something they overlooked or cause. Some vehicles have an external TCC solenoid that can be replaced lacking taking the transmission out.
ive never see that code come up before so i really dont know. my best advice is to bring it to your mechanic and say listen when i plugged the computer into my car code p0742 come up. how much to fix it? also, does some of the torque seem to be gone? do you still have any torque steer if you did past? the only thing i would devise it would be is that u just dont have as much power as past. sorry i couldnt be any more help.
Good Luck!

Answers: The nouns shop should take care of this for you. Either they forgot to clear the code from your computer when they be working on your transmission or something has happen since they worked on it. Bring it there and ask them to check it out. In case you don't know, the torque converter is a central component to your transmission. They should not charge you to check it out- this code is definitely related to the work they did.
