1994 Grand prix. Daughter drove it until it would not move anymore when in gear. Trans fluid pouring out of bell housing.
Is this tranny shot? Did driving it to point of not moving fry the transmission?
sounds resembling the front pump seal blew. driving it without fluid probably did do lots of damage to the trans. best bet get it towed to a local trans shop and have them look at it. you prob merely burnt out the front pump
Answers: If fluid be pouring out of the bell housing, the frount pump seal has gone out. If the fluid be red and did not smell burned, then no but if it came out brown and smelled close to burnt tost it is just that tost.

TO understand what you are asking. Think of a nouns as a pen. When your pen runs out of ink it can still some what write because it has some lubricant left(ink) but it also begins to melt up and eventually tears the paper and completely stops writing. When you refill the pen the pen will start to work but won't be like peas in a pod because you did some damage to the area where on earth the lubricant(inK) exits. The transmission is the same passageway if you run out of fluid it will work until the sensor detects no fluid, or low pressure and stop, but by then some components that keep the pressure and require to be lubricated at adjectives times over heated and damaged. The transmission will still work but you will consideration slippage, improper shifting, and so on. nothing you can really do presently so just drive it until it dies and then take a new car.ahh yeah...
