i have a prime seal dribble, not too bad but to fix somthing resembling this is gonna mean a big bill. what are the best additives to put contained by that will fix the problem. thanks
Answers: Any stabilizer that would block a leak within the seal - will also block the filter.
Not a perfect idea.
Wanna variety it cheaper pull the trans out yourself - next tow it to a shop, with everything cleaned past its sell-by date, all the bolts bag and labeled.
I have done this for family that cant afford the 300.00 labor for pulling - and 300.00 for replacing.
It saves you a few hundred dollars on the bill - but it is dirty messy and sometimes knuckle busting work.
Putting surrounded by any kind of stop filter can do more harm next good. I would only leave it alone.
