When your mechanic services your transmission, does he devolution ALL of your transmission fluid or basically 1/3 of the fluid? Which SHOULD he be doing?
Answers: servicing probably means he's shifting the fluid which is about 2/3rds of the total fluid within the transmission. It depends on what character of transmission it is though, if it is a instruction manual, all the fluid is self changed, if it is an auto, 2/3rds is being changed. Also servicing mode that he's checking the computer for any error codes and he's checking the case if you've driven into anything you shouldn't hold, i.e. a big rock. What he should be doing is a transmission flush, explicitly what you want if your car hits mileage between 60 to 100 thousand miles depending on the vehicle. They use a pressurized system to force all the fluid out of the nouns and replace all of them. It's obedient insurance but it costs more.
When draining transmission fluid from an automatic trans, not adjectives of the fluid is drained, about 2 quarts remained contained by the
torque converter, unless you specify for a complete transmission flush service.
