My Ford escape was installed tyre sized 225/70/R15, due to high grease price, i want to changeit as 215/70/R15 tyre. Do u think it will affect the safety issue, and do u feel it will boost the energy efficiency.

Answers: 225 or 215 doesn't produce any difference because you are still looking at 15 inches rims. I am driving an Escape too but I use 16" rims. I am doing about 560km per full tank (til the fuel night light comes up) on average. You can consider other factors such as installing solar films to do away with the want to blast your a/c during hot afternoons or choosing mild accerelation instead of hard pressing on the gas for a change.
