Tyre pressure indicators - recommended?

help! I frequently forget to check my car's tyre pressures & lately had to replace a tyre through running it too low. I thought of fitting a set of the tyre pressure indicator valve you can buy for around lb10 - they change from green to red if the tyre pressure drops by 2 psi or more.
but ... is it true that unless fitted greatly tight, they actually release the heavens from the tyre & you can finish up with a flat? appreciate any direction, cheers, sue

Answers:    Waste of money!

Just a gadget. They actually, as you hasve said do air leak.

You'd be better off beside a pressure gauge( easy read digital ones are in the region of a fiver). PLUS you can check the tyre for physical damage at matching time.
